Though there is suspense over the name of the Chief Minister in Uttarakhand, the picture on the face of the Chief Minister is clear in Goa and Manipur. According to sources, a decision has been taken in the name of the CM in Goa. In such a scenario, the BJP has cleared the way for Pramod Sawant to become the CM. Sources said that this time there will be no post of Deputy CM in Goa.

A meeting was held in Delhi late last night to clear up confusion over the Goa Chief Minister’s post. The meeting was attended by Fadnavis, JP Nadda and other veteran leaders of Goa. Viswajit Rane was also vying for the Chief Minister’s post but sources said that at present the High Command seems to be stamping on the name of Pramod Sawant. Today, Pramod Sawant also met PM Modi in Delhi. State President Sadanand Seth was also present on the occasion.

Acting Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh had recently said that the new government in the state would be formed before March 19, when the current term of the state assembly would end. He had said that a decision would be taken in the coming days as to who would lead. However, sources said that the BJP was not in the mood to change leadership in Manipur.

A meeting was also held in Delhi on Tuesday to form a government in Manipur. On the other hand, after meeting the Acting Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh, the PM tweeted, Our party is committed to work hard for the people of Manipur.

The PM also met Pramod Sawant with the Goa team and then tweeted, “Meet Pramod Sawant and the Goa BJP team. Our party is grateful to the people of Goa for giving us the fatwa to serve the state again.” We will continue to work for the betterment of Goa in the years to come. “
