The Arrest of Khalistan Supporter Amritpal Singh has Accelerated

Chandigarh: There was a commotion in Punjab for the whole day regarding Amritpal Singh. Earlier, there was news with reference to Punjab Police that a search operation has been launched to catch Amritpal. His accomplices were arrested by the Punjab Police. With this, the internet was shut down in the entire state till Sunday. Then the news came with reference to sources that Amritpal Singh has been taken into custody in Jalandhar but this has not been officially confirmed. Some time ago, the police issued a statement clarifying that Amritpal is still absconding and efforts are on to nab him.
It has been told that Amritpal has been captured from Nakodar in Jalandhar after a struggle of about 2 hours. 5 police teams were deployed to search for Amritpal. Internet service has been stopped in all districts of Punjab till 12 noon on Sunday.

Some supporters of Waris Punjab chief Singh shared some videos on social media, claiming that the policemen were chasing them. In one of the videos, Amritpal can also be seen sitting in a vehicle and one of his associates can be heard saying that the police are after ‘Bhai Sahab’ (Amritpal).
