Punjab Local Government Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar released the first issue of his department’s quarterly newsletter on Thursday. He said that this initiative will serve as the report card of the local government department.

Giving more information, Dr. Nijjar said that in the quarterly newsletter (March-2023) released today, Smart City Mission, Amrut, Swachh Bharat Mission, MS Sewa (e-Governance), Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Projects (PMSI) Progress has been reported under major projects like .P. . “Furthermore, the World Bank/Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, GIS-enabled geospatial planning, urban transport (Bus Rapid Transit System – BRTS), housing for the urban poor, affordable housing projects, credit link subsidy scheme, urban livelihood missions Information on business process re-engineering and municipal fire services are also covered in this newsletter”, he added.
